Bonnie Fedrau’s 'no holds barred', 'no bull', 'straight to the point' attitude has made her a one of a kind. No matter what the task, a challenge is always welcome with Bonnie. Every club she enters, every street she walks down, every musician she meets has a different story. It is music that moves and motivates the SoStarStruck! team, in addition to a good idea. If you've got one, tell us about it, maybe we can help. Bonnie started her music industry career as a DJ and a clerk in a record store. From Saskatoon, she moved to Toronto and worked at several record companies, starting with administrative positions, moving into the creative departments and ending with A&R. Some of the acts that Bonnie helped develop are Sarah Harmer (Weeping Tile-WAR), Kos (EMI/Capitol), Damhnait Doyle (Shaye-EMI), SKY (EMI), Three Days Grace (Zomba/Jive), Out of Your Mouth (Sony/BMG). Bonnie has always been heralded as one of those music industry veterans whose opinion matters. Respected for her astute integrity, she's always been a step ahead of the pack, pronouncing band's names that would become legendary in this country far before any of her colleagues and peers. She has been a pillar of the independent music scene often being seen at the bar after a NuMusic Night or Battle of the Bands, offering her words of wisdom to wide-eyed musicians eager for a foot in the door. A&R has been a big part of Bonnie's development. Helping keep this industry alive and thriving has been her goals and ambition. Bonnie has been a recognized figure on the Canadian music industry landscape, having been invited to speak at numerous industry events including: Canadian Music Week, Western Canadian Music Awards, North By Northeast, New Music West and Boston's NEMO festival. She created an A&R course while at TREBAS Institute, and has been recognized numerous times in various publications such as 'Who's Who of Women In the Canadian Music Industry', 'Globe & Mail, Toronto Star, to name a few. She has also been seen on air in various documentaries and profiles with regards to the Canadian Music scene, the most recent being in an upcoming series called "Plucked" which will air in September 2006. SoStarStruck! began as a dream to help artists develop their craft in their own unique ways, by their standards, and at their own pace.
